Go into MANAGE from the Courses/Manage page. Click the PROFILE tab at the top of the manage screen. Click EDIT AVATAR and have fun personalizing it. Remember to click SAVE at the end. Then click HOME to return to the Courses/Manage screen to get back to your courses.

The Viewboard can only be controlled by the instructor; you can control the volume of your Viewboard, even when it’s teacher controlled.
You can check the attendance screen to see what course you are attending. (Select Class, Attendance)
Changing the quality settings (Tools, Quality Settings) may help the movement of your avatar. Change the rendering to a lower setting (fastest) and lower the Clip Rate (400-500); it will lower the visual quality of the world, but will help the movement of the avatar.
If you hold down the spacebar, that will make you avatar fly higher.

Clicking the CHAT button will allow you to open a chat window that can be seen by and responded in by others who are currently in that world. Ensure that you click in the chat box block before typing in your chat message.
Clicking the TELEPORT button allows you to move instantly to a different world in the course you are in or to move instantly to the other Viewboards in the world you are currently in.
The VOICE button lets you control your voice to be heard locally, which is just near your avatar, or globally, which is in all the worlds of that course. You can also turn on or off the Push to Talk feature.
Clicking on the VOLUME button lets you control the volume around you. You can turn them higher or lower, or off completely. Ambient is your background sounds (i.e. birds, wind, water, waves). SFX is the game sounds (foot falls, music, etc). Viewboard is the volume of the viewboard(s). Voice is the volume you are getting of the voices that are speaking.
The voice connection starts when you enter the world; it’s defaulted to “Push to Talk.” In the upper right hand corner of the screen you will see the default key (T) that is used on your keyboard. Use the T key when you want to talk with someone in the world that you are in. They will not be able to hear you unless you press the default T key on your keyboard while you are talking; release the key when you are finished talking. You can change the default key in the Control Config under the TOOL menu.

The current version of the VIEW will not let you change the gender in your profile. Once it has been submitted, you’ll need to contact support at support@view-university.com.

VIEW is both PC and MAC friendly.
